Dog is a mabari hound of the Hawke family. He can be summoner by Hawke through battles to assist them.

Hawke can name the mabari upon entering Gamlen's house. Through lots of diffrent conversations reveal that all of Hawke's companions love dog, except for Gamlen. In Act 3, Dog has he's own side quest called "Beware the Dog".
Dog acts like a normal ally but cannot be played like in Origins.
